The first Smartphone for the blind has been designed.It allows them to read text messages and E-Mails on this phone as all these will be converted into Braille pattern. Sumit Dagar from Ahmedabad made this phone.He belongs to the Indian Institute of Management,Ahmedabad.
This stands as the world's first Smartphone designed in braille language. Dagar told that he is ready to make advanced versions of this phone in the future.The price of this phone will be less than Rs.10,000 and it will be launched by the end of 2013.
Shape Memory technology is used which will depress the contents and transform them into braille pattern.The phone also has special pins to represent character or letter.
